Agenda for 3/26/03

Items up for discussion:

Focus - What is our primary goal for the lug going to be?  Simple linux fun, linux evangelism, educating new linux users, advancement of knowledgeable linux users, etc...

Website - Seth has proposed several different new looks, and we need to choose one, along with people volunteering to work on parts of it.

Domain name - salemlug.org is up for renewal at the beginning of April.  Do we want something different?

Meetings - When do we start with 'normal' meetings?  What format is the 'normal' meeting going to have?  Monthly?

Leadership - Do we want a board, a president, or are we even far enough along to decide this?

Rules - Addendum to the above item.  Depending on how 'official' this becomes, we need to decide on rules of order, constitution, etc.

Costs - Right now the LUGs only cost is domain registration, as I am hosting the site off of my box at home.  If we want to host on a faster site somewhere, how are we going to pay for this? (corporate sponsorship or dues) Legal costs if we want to become a NPO.  And any other questions about costs...
